Things to do near Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach in Florida has some of the best locations for adventure family sessions. Today I am sharing a Ponce Inlet Lighthouse family photo session, and sharing some of my favorite places to go near Daytona Beach!
Finding new places to go on vacation is part of the magic when traveling. Regardless of if you have a Florida family photographer like me to tag along with you, you should check these places out!
Ponce Inlet Lighthouse
Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is located in Lighthouse Point Park. There are rocks to climb on, sunsets over the water, and tons of driftwood within view of the lighthouse. It’s a calm spot to watch the sunset or have your perfect Florida family photo session.
After we spent some time on the rocks I took them to a spot between the mangroves to give us some shade from the sun before we went to this secluded spot on the other side of the mangroves by the water. While we were down by the water, a pod of dolphins were swimming out in front of us and stayed for the rest of our session, giving us a private show! This is truly one of my favorite things about sessions here. The excitement and joy my clients get from seeing dolphins in the wild is so heartwarming.

Florida Family Photographer’s Dream
This Ponce Inlet Lighthouse session was all about my client’s baby girl, Collins, who was about to turn one. This precious girl is their rainbow baby and the light of their lives even to her older siblings. The family was in town for one of the older sibling’s gymnastics competition. Mom is also a photographer from Illinois, so having a Florida family photo session was on their bucket list!
This session had the overall feel of love, not romantic love, but unconditional love only a family has. Collins was their sunshine, their light and everyone was just trying to get a piece of it. There was constant bickering about who was going to hold her!
